MAKER SPACE ACCESS (Exclusive to WVU students, staff, and faculty)

How to create a Maker Space account

  1. Visit the front desk of either room G75E or room G85 in the Engineering Sciences Building 
  2. Sign the equipment waiver 
  3. Scan the “New Maker Space User Registration” QR code with your phone 
  4. Complete the online registration quiz 
  5. Complete the safety orientation

How to create an iLab account

WVU Internal Clients

  1. Go to the WVU iLab Website
  2. Choose the blue "sign-up" button on the top right of the landing page
  3. Under "WVU user", click the link to login or register using your WVU credentials
  4. Register for iLab Form
  • PI/Group
  • LIH Internal Personal Use
  • Select PI of research project or student project
  • Example of the registration form
  • Click "Register"
    • NOTE: Account creation may take up to 24 hours

    External Clients

    1. Go to the WVU iLab Website
    2. Choose the blue "sign-up" button on the top right of the landing page
    3. Under "Not a WVU user", click the link to login or register using your Institutional/Company email address
    4. Complete your personal information
    • Affiliation
      • Please enter the name of your company or business
    • Role
      • Select "other" and enter your job title or position within the company
  • Group Associations
    • Select "No" if there is another person who helps manage this account
    • NOTE: Other lab members and financial managers can be added by Innovation Hub staff at any time
  • Complete billing information
    • NOTE: Billing terms and conditions are subject to change
  • Click "Complete"
    • NOTE: Account creation may take up to 24 hours

    (Use of the Lane Innovation Hub is a paid service. To learn more about any specific costs, sign up for your free iLab account to get a project quote.)

    REQUEST MANUFACTURING SERVICES IN iLAB

    All Innovation Hub equipment training and "General Access Equipment" is available at no charge to WVU students, faculty & staff.

    1. Go to the WVU iLab Website
    2. Choose the green "login" button on the top right of the landing page
    3. Under "WVU user", click the link to login or register using your WVU credentials
    4. Select the "Request Services" tab

    6. Select the service request option of your choice.

    8. Complete the service request iLab form
    9. Innovation Hub staff will provide you with a quote or contact you with any questions through iLab.
    10. Press "Agree" button on your quoted service ticket for fabrication/service to begin.
